Just got out of moderating a session about selecting an open source VoIP solution for the SMB market. It was very well attended and the debate pretty lively. Here's who was in the IT Expo session: Chris Vuillaume, VP BusDev/Channel - Fonality; Avery Glasser, Director of Product - Junction Networks; Chad Agate, Co-Founder and CEO NeoPhonetics, and Bill Rich (representing Pingtel / SIPFoundary), Sr VP Business & Corp Dev - Bluesocket

I asked a series of questions to the panelists and often panelists would disagree with one of the other panelists. The session went long and one of my fellow TMC'ers had to give me the "hook" to end it. I should have snapped a photo of the audience. Ah well. My bad.

Been crazy busy and I've missed every single keynote so far, which I planned on live blogging. I hear Mark Spencer's keynote was interesting, including a slide about "open source" on one side of a chart, "evil" hybrid closed/open source in the middle, and proprietary on the opposite side. Gee, I wonder who that chart was aimed at? Take one guess....

Anyway, hope to capture the dinner reception tonight and the Dialogic & 8x8 keynotes tomorrow. I'll also try and live blog the show floor in the next 30 min. Stay tuned!
