VoIP Bloggers

Next week I head to VON. Jeff Pulver was kind enough to invite me to speak in the "VoIP Bloggers Speak Out" panel. Why, he even put my photo and BIO above his in the online VON schedule! What a humble, stand-up guy!

Actually, I hacked his web server and moved my photo higher. Just kidding!

I'm looking forward to the VoIP bloggers panel. It includes Andy Abramson (VoIPWatch), Dan Brekke (ipInferno), Jeff Pulver, Om Malik (BUSINESS2.0 & GIGAOM.com), Aswath Rao, James Seng (Assistant Director, IDA Singapore), and of course myself.

It's taking place Wednesday, March 9, 2005, 2:45pm - 4:00pm. So if you are attending VON, be sure to check it out, and feel free to say hello..

For the record, I did the invite, it just came via Jeff's office. I hand picked the panel, some input from Jeff, but that was minimal...Most moderators at Jeff's events have freedom to do what they want..

True, Andy did call me and give me the invitation, but only after confirming with Jeff that I was an acceptable choice to be on the VoIP blogger panel.

Andy certainly gets credit for thinking of me as one of the leading VoIP bloggers and proposing to Jeff that I be on the panel.

However, considering I work for a competitive magazine and a competitive tradeshow to Jeff's I still have to throw the kudos to Jeff for letting the Andy's proposed invite go through. Pulver is still the ringmaster for VON with the final say on all speakers.
