Been thinking about changing cell phone companies again and wanted to find out what the faithful readers of this blog have to say about the various companies.

Let's see ... I've been on Sprint, AT&T and Verizon over the years, and the problem is that service reliability seems to come and go. One company is better for two years, then another, then another ...

And let's throw in a merger here and a merger there and how that affects customers!?

Oh, by the way, how can AT&T claim to be so reliable (as stated in all of their TV advertising) when calls are constantly lost or the signal can't be found in Fairfield County (which is pretty close to civilization the last time I checked).

Anyway, the lines are open ... Let us here from you about wireless!

Tom,

After years of AT&T, Houston Cellular (SBC pre-Cingular) and Verizon Wireless, and feeling pretty much ignored or abused by carriers I'm really happy with T-Mobile.

Every time I've had to deal with them on some matter of service I've come away from the experience feeling that the matter was handled well. They've never really upset me...unlike all the others.

Even last summer when Blackberry 8100 service was lousy due to poor firmware them handled me well. The only resolution was wait for RIM to release new firmware.

Been with T-Mobile for almost 8 years. Great customer service (Thought it's not as good as it used to be). Recepton is not as grea as someothers, but they make up for it with a wheel barrow of minutes for $40. I NEVER go over my minutes, and now with H@H, neither will my wife!

I've also been with T-Mobile for about 8 years. Their customer service is outstanding, and their rate plans are priced very agressively. I was willing to sacrifice 3G data speeds (until recently since T-Mo is making 3G deployments) in the face of other cell carriers based only off of feedback (surprisingly negative) from friends about experiences they have with their carriers (sprint, verizon, att, etc). I know I'm not alone, either. A number of people I know have recently switched from sprint or verizon to t-mo and are happier than ever. I'm sure there are cases to the contrary where someone has a bad experience, but I've yet to encounter someone that has.

Based on everything I've heard and read I'm switching to T-Mobile today from Verizon. I've beed with Verizon for five years and they don't seem interested in keeping me as a customer, plans are pricey, also. I'm buying a Samsung Behold, a hugh step from my Razr which I've had for three years and is on its last leg.
