What is the best IP PBX?

Now that’s a loaded question for a carrier. The most typical answer is it depends upon factors specific to your business and infrastructure. I prefer to give an answer that moves away from the specific IP PBX comparisons to the benefits of making transition from a traditional TDM PBX. While, I could list the benefits of VoIP/SIP Trunking, I’d rather focus on those of the IP PBX itself. 3CX, one of our certified OEM partners, discusses their top ten list of  3CX IP PBX Benefits :

1.       Much easier to install and configure

2.       Easier to manage with web/GUI based configuration interface

3.       Significant cost savings using VOIP providers

4.       Eliminate phone wiring

5.       Eliminate vendor lock in

6.       Scalable

7.       Better customer service and productivity

8.       Twice the phone system features for half the price

9.       Allow hot desking and roaming

10.   Better phone usability: SIP phones are easier to use

I like most of those and 3CX does a good job of explaining its position. For a different type of list check out another certified partner, pbxnsip. It establishes the value proposition for transitioning to an IP PBX:

1.       Cost Reduction

2.       Choice

3.       Control

4.       Flexibility
