The holidays were a blast. My favorite new dish was the heirloom tomatoes with white truffle oil; a bit extravagant for recipes on this blog though.
RED: Yesterday was southern fried chicken with mac and cheese. I grew up in Virginia and it was almost a Sunday staple. Mine is different from my Mom's in that I brine my chicken and use my special red seasoning mixture. The mixture is for fried, sautéed or grilled foods. For fried foods, I tend to salt the food again as well. The red seasoning is used for poultry and pork. I also add it to tuna, turkey and chicken salad. It's worth making.
WHITE: I use this on so many things, burgers, steaks, fish, eggs, macaroni and cheese, and much much more. It is very versatile. If you want to go French add thyme, Asian add Chinese five spice and ginger, German add caraway seeds and Swedish add dill. I use this mixture for most of my casual cooking so enjoy the white seasoning mix. For American, use as is.
BLEW...
This is to the winners that BLEW away the competition...Broadsoft, Acme Packet and Sonus Networks. As an ITSP, Broadvox pays close attention to the efforts of these three players. Two of the three are key to our product offerings. Broadsoft's acquisition of troubled Sylantro makes them the clear winner for VoIP applications services. Acme Packet is said to have over 50% market share for session border controllers. They are also expanding their reach beyond service providers into the enterprises. Finally, there is Sonus. A key network element for Broadvox's carrier and SIP Trunking business.
In blowing away their competitors, they have become noticed by larger players. Such attention always leads to questions of acquisitions or mergers. Each of them would be an attractive revenue stream and customer base for others wanting to grow their IP communication's offerings. We will keep a watchful eye any activity.
