Cross Now CCSP-CompTIA Certified Security+ Professional - Adds Knowledge to SIP/OCS Courses

TECHtionary.com today announced Comptia Security+ Certification by Tom Cross and significant enhancements regarding VoIP-SIP security technology made part of its SIP Essentials and Microsoft OCS-Office Communications courses. 

An example of one of the many course improvements includes the principal types of IDS-Intrusion Detection Systems. Here are four of the principal types of ISD:
- Host or Network IDS-Intrusion Detection and IPS-Intrusion Prevention Systems monitor for suspicious activity, system logs, perform stateful packet matching and disconnect sessions that violate security policies. The major types of IDS are:
- Pattern matching - inspects packets and compares against a signature database of known attacks.
- Stateful inspection network IDS is more intelligent than a pattern-matching IDS because it looks for signatures WITHIN data streams, not just single packets.
- Protocol decode IDS applies protocol rules, as defined in IETF RFCs, examining header field values, lengths and types.
- Heuristic analysis IDS implements frequency and threshold analysis based on statistical analysis.
