I had a lot of fun with Just Cause 3, swooping around the island, using a combination of grapple line and parachute to sail around the island. Taking in picturesque villas and only occasionally getting shot at as I did so was quite exciting. The new DLC for Just Cause 3, meanwhile, should make this even better by ramping up the wing suit to almost irresponsible new heights.
The new DLC includes a new threat known as the Sky Fortress, which is backed up by an array of flight-capable drones. Naturally, you won't have to take on said threat in your current condition. There will be upgrades for your weapons loadout, inclduing the Eviction personal defense drone, the Bavarium Splitter assault rifle, and, perhaps best of all, the new, weaponized Bavarium Wingsuit. Said wingsuit includes a thruster pack, essentially turning you into a small-scale fighter jet, complete with shoulder-mounted machine guns and guided missile systems.
Yes, that's right; your wingsuit now appears to be powered. No longer just for gliding, the wing suit can fly with the best of them, and give players yet another reason to go cruising around the island.
It gets better, if such a thing is possible. Later, we'll have the Land Mech Assault, which gives us a battle mech complete with Half-Life style gravity gun for tossing objects about, and one final pack of DLC known only as the Bavarium Sea Heist. Not much else is known about this one, however. Perhaps some kind of hovercraft will be involved.
The good news here is that this is DLC done right. Sky Fortress is slated to sell for $12, and the entire Expansion Pass--covering all three titles, according to reports--will run $25, which means those who buy in bulk will likely get a deal against those who buy individually. It's quite a deal afoot for those who enjoyed Just Cause 3, like I did, and it's enough to have me thinking about buying another DLC lineup.
