Bill Miller is currently providing consulting services. He was most recently VP of Operations at FreedomVoice, a leading cloud-based PBX company in San Diego, CA. Bill brings over 25 years of voice, data and security networking experience to his blogging perspectives. In recent years, he has been a staple presenting and on panels at IT Expo, Asterisk World, Astricon and VoiceCon/Enterprise Connect on the topic of VoIP, cloud-based VoIP, and Open Source Telephony in the enterprise and SMBs. He has blogged and evangelized about Asterisk, open source and social media before its move to mainstream B2B and enterprises. Bill originally created Digium Asterisk World with Mark Spencer (Asterisk creator and Digium founder) and Pulvermedia in 2007 and worked closely with the TMC executive team to collocate the event, now Asterisk World, with IT Expo East.

Bill has previously held senior positions in Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Strategic Planning and Strategic and Technology Alliances with FreedomVoice, ADC Telecommunications, Digium, 3Com, Fujitsu, General DataComm, and Rockwell International. He has also spent several years at startups and founded his own marketing consulting firm.

Bill holds a BS in Computer Engineering Technology from Northeastern University.
