Google to Keynote at Super WiFi Summit in Miami

rick-whitt.jpgTMC's ITEXPO has had its fair share of high-profile keynoters, including Skype co-founder Niklas Zennstrom, Bob Metcalfe, former FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, former FCC Chairman Michael Powell, former HP Chair Carly Fiorina, Digium / Asterisk founder Mark Spencer, and of course TMC's very own Rich Tehrani on multiple occasions. We've also had representatives from Microsoft, Cisco, Yahoo, Avaya, Nortel, Polycom, and other telecom / wireless heavyweights. Now in 2012 TMC lands a Google keynoter! dancingGoogle will keynote at ITEXPO's co-located Super WiFi Summit.

Richard S. Whitt is Director and Managing Counsel for Telecom and Media Policy for Google Inc. In that capacity, Rick is responsible for Google’s strategy and advocacy on all wireline, wireless, and media matters before the Federal Communications Commission, other Federal agencies, and the U.S. Congress. Most recently he has been representing the company’s interests on a variety of broadband policy issues, spectrum policy matters, and “unregulation” of VoIP and other Web-based applications. He formerly worked for MCI.

Rich Tehrani writes:
I am really thrilled to let my readers know that Rick Whitt, Washington Telecom and Media Counsel at Google will be the keynote presenter at Super WiFi Summit which is a collocated event at ITEXPO. ITEXPO kicks off this January 31st and continues until February 3rd and we expect this show to be very well-attended and one of the best places in the technology world for networking and choosing products and services for purchase.

That's less than a month away. Can't wait to be in Miami, as a cold spell is just hitting the Northeast. To register, head over here.
