Telefónica Bought Jajah and Now Partners with Wikipedia

expocommmx2008 058small.jpgTelefónica is on a roll. They acquired Jajah, a web-activated, mobile web telephony, and direct number call  service provider, in December 2009. Recently they partnered with Wikipedia. The company Jajah is known for its Latin-American audience in mobile and online services. 

"It's a three-year strategic partnership to make Wikimedia's educational content available on Telefónica Web and mobile portals in the entire Telefónica footprint."

A slight shift in topic, I remember meeting them the first time at an EXPO COMM Mexico conference. The next EXPO COMM is Feb. 23-25, 2010 in Mexico City.
