Shoretel Gives a Free Unified Communications Handbook

I read once where someone made fun of a member of the Asterisk-Biz list for making a statement with the phrase "VoIP providers like Shortel" as if Shoretel was synonymous with VoIP. There was nothing to laugh at then and nothing to laugh at now. The company is giving a free unified communications handbook, too.

Ruckuss Wireless, at, is a popular service provider as is evident by the crowds at their booth at CommunicAsia 2009 in Singapore and I remember the same at their booth at EXPOCOMM Mexico 2007. Michael Paparella was the spokesperson on this video on Youtube

The company offers solutions for multi-media in the WIFI industry. They choose to participate in CommunicAsia each year because of the yearly accomplishment of building new business solutions with current and new partners.

One common theme I heard over and over at CommunicAsia 2009 from participants, whether sponsors, attendees, exhibitors and other press agents was that CommunicAsia draws more participation from the right people and companies in the APEC region ...

Optimistic Tenor in Market Turmoil

Greg Galitzine quoted Rob Pullens, Tellabs CEO, in a discussion about the market turmoil, in the May 2009 NGN magazine, "That certainly surprised me," said Pullen, "and as you can imagine, like everyone else, our revenues were slightly affected downward. And so in this tough economic time, we need to look around and say, 'we're going to invest our way through this, we're going to emerge stronger on the remote end, but we're going to manage our cash flow and profitability along the way,' that is, things that are in our control. I can't control when the macroeconomic marker's going to improve, but I can control who we manage our expenses, improve our profitability, and keep close to our customers.

I think the two key points made are to invest your way through and keep close to your customers. Not saying to throw money at everyone and everything.
