Cloudonix CTO on How Contextual Communications Saves $ and Time

March 6, 2018

Eric Klein, Cloudonix COO and author of The One: A Cruise through the Solar System, is the contextual communications expert that I interviewed at ITEXPO 2018. Automatically, I thought this must have something to do with recognition of people’s tone and other nuances of voice that we use to understand each other’s communication… kind of like what James Tagg, ex-CTO of Truphone and founder of the Penrose Institute, Hacklands and cen.ai Basic Intelligence Token (BIT) talked about at Cluecon 2017. When I asked Eric if my guess was correct, he responded with a description of use cases that includes the tech behind it and the way it makes solving customer service challenges big time.

He says, “We have one customer here in the USA that is running about 5 million devices on a very small footprint.

"The lines between them have never been blurrier," he says.

When Will eSIM Replace GSM and Enable Stressfree Communication

December 21, 2017

Well, I don't really see how it can be stress-free because Internet is not always dependable anywhere. Will the SIM card as we know it today cease to exist and instead people will become accustomed to instant virtual numbers as needed over networks of all types, making worldwide travel and stressfree communication the standard?

Virtual number, direct inward dialing and network technology are all different now than they were in say, the late 1990s. I remember when all I could get was CDMA in the US which meant I was situation-normal-all-messed-up from 2002 - 2010 even while traveling for DIDX in Europe, Middle East and Asia. I had to keep the same phone number no matter where I moved unless I used a virtualphoneline and routed it via FreeWorldDialup or something like that.

Can Twilio API Interact with a Pager? Rocking the Pager Array!

December 19, 2017

Who still uses pagers in 2017 and who will continue? Why? Medics, emergency responders and people who dig older technical devices like pagers, ham radios, rotary telephones, old typewriters and such. They use them for enhanced privacy, security, old school feel, hipster addiction, and so on.

Experts Duffet, Moshe, Tehrani on ITSPs, Integrating New Tech, Disaster Preparedness

October 18, 2017

A few days before Astricon 2017, TMCnet's Rich Tehrani, Telespeak and Asterisk Community's David Duffet and MongoTel's Moshe BT recorded a video conversation with me about cloud communications gatherings, starting an ITSP, and how VoIP companies can leverage artificial intelligence and other new technologies for business revenue and software development growth. Moshe BT, tagged as the Jewish Steve Jobs of Israel by "Voice of Israel" and also known as founder of now three multi-million dollar telecom / tech companies joined two other well-known IP communications master minds and me. David Duffet, the "one who helps the geeks speak" Director of the Worldwide Asterisk Community and the only certified Zig Ziglar Legacy Certified Coach and Trainer in UK and Rich Tehrani, CEO of TMCnet with 12,300 + organic Twitter followers, and who has helped millions of cloud communications communications companies start and grow successfully since 1999, the year of the first ITEXPO conference.

VoIP and Coding Addicted OpenSIPs Founder Bogdan Iancu Insight

August 2, 2017

The most superb community builders are few and far between, and in the IP communications coding world, one of those few is Bogdan Iancu, founder of OpenSIPs. Meet him in person at Cluecon.com where Zoiper gal and guys will show how #BLF and SIP #presence works in front of FreeSWITCH.

SIP setups where OpenSIPS acts as a front-end for a farm of class 5 servers are very popular because the architectures combine the best of both worlds: robust and optimized handling of SIP signaling with feature-rich class 5 softswitches.

I interviewed Bogdan Iancu, and I want to share his answers with you.

1. In a few words that would make sense to even my Dad or a newbie to open source development, what does your company do for its clientele?

Everything is about communication, or about transporting voice, person to person or in bulk fashion.
