Jury To Music Downloading "Infringer": That'll Be $222,000!

A jury in Duluth, Minnesota has just found Jammie Thomas liable for infringement.
In the case of Capitol Records vs. Jammie Thomas, the jury found homas, 30, guilty of copyright infringement on all contested 24 songs she had been accused of illegally downloading.
Judgment was awarded in the amount of $222,000 in damages- $9,250 per song.
After the verdict, Thomas' attorney Brian Toder declined to comment to the media gathered outside the courthouse.
But you can bet there will be an appeal.
