- 4 ears fresh corn
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon white seasoning mixture
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons cornmeal flour or white flour
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh ground black pepper
Directions
Strip the corn kernels from the corncobs. After the cobs have been stripped, use the backside of a knife to scrape any remaining pulp and milk off the cob into a sauce pan.
Add the corn and butter to the saucepan and cook over medium high for 3-4 minutes. Add the white seasoning mixture, turmeric and sugar. Stir for 2 minutes. Sprinkle the flour into the sauce pan and stir to combine well. Add the heavy cream and cook 3 minutes until thickened and creamy. Serve with freshly ground black pepper.
Seasoning Mix White
2 tablespoons salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Mix all ingredients and store in a spice jar.
