Steak with Soy Sauce and Dijon Mustard
Ingredients
- ½ cup soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 4 1 inch thick filet mignons or New York strip steaks
- 4 tablespoons butter (room temperature)
- Freshly ground pepper
Directions
Mix soy sauce and mustard in a small bowl. Place steak in a large zip top bag and pour in marinade. Make certain to coat all sides of the meat. Seal bag, removing as much air as possible and allow steak to marinate for 1 hour.
Heat grill to high heat.
Remove steak from bag and place on the grill. Cook for 3 minutes per side for rare or 4-5 minutes per side for medium rare. Remove meat from the grill at desired doneness. Place a tablespoon of butter on each steak and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Serve with additional fresh ground pepper.
