Through LinkedIn, I came across a blog post with some great advice for sales executives. With a limited number of selling days left in 2009, now's the time to wrap up business and invest in yourself.
Suggestions include:
Adding to prospect database.
Wishing Happy Holidays to clients. If you reach them, ask for referrals.
Reading business books. (Big income difference on average between reading 1 book vs. 7 per year.)
Taking a sales course.

Of course, I'm also coming across lists of business New Year's Resolutions. Haven't crafted a list myself yet, but it seems a sensible thing to do as the New Year brings reflection as well as anticipation. Making note of attainable goals is more likely to result in success than simply aiming to "keep up the good work."
Best wishes for Happy Holidays and continued success in 2010.
