My new Terahertz blog

I am very excitied to announce my new Terahertz blog. The future prospects involving Terahertz technology(thz) looks bright.
What is  Terahertz?
Terahertz radiation comprises electromagnetic waves propagating at frequencies in the terahertz range, from 0.3 to 3 THz. It is synonymously termed submillimeter radiation, terahertz waves, terahertz light, T-rays, T-waves, T-light, T-lux, THz. The term typically applies to electromagnetic radiation with frequencies between high-frequency edge of the microwave band, 300 gigahertz (3×1011 Hz), and the long-wavelength edge of far-infrared light, 3000 GHz (3×1012 Hz). In wavelengths, this range corresponds to 0.1 mm (or 100 μm) infrared to 1.0 mm microwave.

Because terahertz radiation begins at a wavelength of one millimeter and proceeds into shorter wavelengths, it is sometimes known as the submillimeter band, and its radiation as submillimeter waves, especially in astronomy.

Operationally, terahertz radiation becomes of interest because it approximately represents the region in the electromagnetic spectrum that the frequency of electromagnetic radiation ceases to be measured directly, and must be measured only by the proxy properties of wavelength and energy. For related reasons, terahertz radiation also represents the region in which the generation and modulation of coherent electromagnetic signals ceases to be possible by the conventional means used to generate most coherent radiowaves and microwaves, and requires new devices and techniques, many of which are novel.
