Mitel Cracking Open UC Portfolio

Sandra Gustavesen, an analyst at T3i Group, has an interesting take on recent Mitel moves within its Unified Communications portfolio. For starters, says Sandra, it now includes new desktop and mobile UC clients for its flagship 3300 IP Communications Platform (ICP) for enterprise users (up to 65,000 users) and a new licensing scheme.

Quintum Technologies, now a wholly owned subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies, is on quite a run. In the nearly ten years since the company launched its Tenor VoIP gateways at TMC's (News - Alert) Communications Solutions Expo show in Las Vegas, the solution has been opening up its full range of VoIP-PSTN connectivity to businesses on a global scale.

This week the company tacked on another global score inking a deal with Hong Kong-based Deltapath to help that company provide worldwide customers meet the growing demands for manageable software-based IP PBX solutions.
