Arrived at ITEXPO Miami 2013

I made it to sunny Miami and just in time. The dry heat of Connecticut started to make the back of my hands bleed. I am not typically a "lotion person" but had no choice as I was starting to look like I belonged in a horror flick. What am I doing now you ask?

Sitting by the pool working in a T-shirt and shorts and enjoying the ability to do so without being distracted by the sound of my teeth chattering.
This week will be amazing. I can’t wait for the awesome keynotes, sessions, exhibits, collocated events and more. I think the most under-appreciated part of the show is Super WiFi Summit because it is the sole technology at the show which has the potential to disrupt broadband, telephony, tech – everything. Think how amazing it would be when this tech becomes mature and a cheap AP has a range of 20 miles or more!

M2M is another disruptive technology and I can’t wait to sit in on the sessions and see the state of the industry. Then there is SDN – software-defined networking. When you couple in cloud and virtualization, this becomes an essential technology of the future. Don’t miss our pre-conference panel on the matter.

Then there is the John Sculley keynote, the StartUp Camp Experience – my keynote panel on the "Age of Acceleration" which will take my article from USA Today to the next level.

If you need to know about it – you will find it here at ITEXPO. You still have time to get down here if you haven’t made plans – we hope to see you here and soon.
