CallTower has launched Entra Sync, a “mission control center” designed to bring intelligent automation to Microsoft Teams provisioning and management. With support for voice, policies, licenses, numbers, call queues, and templates, Entra Sync streamlines complex setup processes and reduces manual workload for IT teams and communication professionals.
“Provisioning users in Microsoft Teams has historically been a manual, time-intensive process that’s prone to mistakes,” said Rachell McConkie, CallTower’s Product Owner. “With Entra Sync, we’re giving our customers the ability to complete complex provisioning in under five minutes—versus 30 minutes or more manually—with better accuracy, fewer escalations, and greater control.”
The platform enables dynamic, role-based management—automatically adapting users’ configurations when they change departments, locations, or roles. Sync occurs in real-time with Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring user data always stays current. Key administrative controls include persona-based templates, phone number tagging and reservation, usage monitoring with low-balance alerts, and detailed compliance reporting.
Entra Sync supports environments using Operator Connect, Direct Routing, or Calling Plans, making it suitable for organizations with large-scale Teams voice deployments. CallTower emphasizes that the platform spreads provisioning capabilities across broader IT teams, reducing reliance on specialized staff and avoiding bottlenecks.
“Efficient provisioning and compliance planning are critical as Teams usage grows—and Entra Sync delivers both at scale,” McConkie added.
