Cybersecurity Ventures predicts that retail, oil and gas\/energy and utilities, media and entertainment, legal, and education (K-12 and higher ed), will round out the top 10 industries for 2019 to 2022. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Global ransomware damage costs are predicted to hit&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurityventures.com\/global-ransomware-damage-costs-predicted-to-reach-20-billion-usd-by-2021\/\">$20 billion<\/a>&nbsp;in 2021, up from&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurityventures.com\/ransomware-damage-report-2017-part-2\/\">$11.5 billion<\/a>&nbsp;in 2019,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cybersecurityventures.com\/ransomware-damage-report-2017-5-billion\/\">$5 billion<\/a>&nbsp;in 2017, and just&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/enterprise.microsoft.com\/en-us\/articles\/blog\/microsoft-in-business\/healthcare-beware-the-rise-of-ransomware\/\">$325<\/a>&nbsp;million in 2015, according to Cybersecurity Ventures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are just a few of the amazing and downright scary stats and predictions.
