Digicel puts out a steady stream of releases and seems pretty forward thinking. As a monopoly provider you would think hey would sit back and count money. This doesn\u2019t seem to be the case. They seem to always be doing something new. Most recently, This release caught my eye:<\/p>\n<p><b style=\"mso-bidi-font-weight: normal\">DIGICEL GROUP LAUNCHES DIGICEL POINTS <br \/><\/b><br \/>Loyalty Program Designed to Reward Customers<\/p>\n<p>JUNE, 1, 2005, KINGSTON, JAMAICA &#8211; Digicel Group, the fastest growing mobile telecommunications company in the Caribbean, today announced the launch of Digicel Points, a new program designed to reward Digicel&#8217;s loyal customers. <\/p>\n<p>Starting today, Digicel customers will automatically start to accumulate loyalty points that can be used to receive significant reductions on the state-of-the-art mobile phones offered by Digicel, such as the impressive Motorola Razor.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">\u00a0 <\/span>Customers can redeem their points, starting in October, by simply bringing their mobile phone into any Digicel dealer store. Digicel Points is not an exclusive scheme but open to every one of our customers and starts automatically. Points do not expire and customers can purchase additional points as they please.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Every time a Digicel pre-paid customer tops up their phone, they will earn a certain number of loyalty points. For Digicel post-paid customers, points will be earned based on monthly call usage and added to their monthly bill. <\/p>\n<p>&quot;Digicel Points is our way of giving back and showing appreciation to our loyal customers.<span style=\"mso-spacerun: yes\">\u00a0 <\/span>We are aware that our tremendous success over the past four years across our eight <place w:st=\"on\">Caribbean<\/place> markets is due to the support of our customers.
