I have been getting lots of questions about the Mosquito Magnet<\/a> — in fact it is weird how many e-mails I get because of blog entries. Anyway, I received this e-mail today and figured others have the same questions, so my answer is at the bottom.<\/p>\n

My unit worked great for a year by the way and I haven’t taken it out of storage this year. I probably should as there are more bugs this year than I recall seeing in many years.<\/p>\n

I agree 100% with your comments that the manufacturer needs to address this
issue regarding the liquid propane source in their owner’s manual.<\/p>\n

I am about ready to smash mine too!\u00a0 <\/span>I had a Liberty<\/place><\/city> model that was flashing
the "fuel out" signal at me with a full tank.\u00a0 <\/span>(Flashing green, solid red and
yellow).\u00a0 <\/span>I was sent a factory refurbished unit, which worked for a week, then
did the same thing, asking for more propane.\u00a0 <\/span>Tech support told me yesterday
that "swapped tanks" are often contaminated with air, and clog the carbeurator
in the Mosquito Magnet.\u00a0 <\/span>I took a swapped tank to U-Haul, asked them to purge
it, then refill it.\u00a0 <\/span>Still doesn’t work.<\/p>\n

I am curious if you were getting the same flashing green, solid red and yellow
warning, and if this went away just by replacing the tank with a new one, or if
you also had replaced the Mosquito Magnet.\u00a0 <\/span>Did you replace the Mosquito Magnet
too, or just switch to a new tank?<\/p>\n

When I replaced the tank with a new one, all my troubles went away. I haven’t used it this year yet.<\/p>\n

I recall the manual saying tat there is some compressed air you can buy from a bicycle store. The compressed carbon dioxide gas will clean the unit out.<\/p>\n

The unit is very sensitive and I recall a tool that equalizes the pressure from the tank and the Mosquito Magnet. If you don’t use this, the system doesn’t work… At least it didn’t for me.<\/p>\n
