I wish those that were injured a safe and speedy recovery. I hope those that were responsible are found quickly and brought to justice.<br \/><\/font><\/span><span style=\"FONT-SIZE: 10pt\"><br \/><a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/2\/hi\/uk_news\/4659511.stm\"><font color=\"#000000\">Here is a log from multiple reporters detailing the aftermath of the bombings<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#000000\">.<\/p>\n<p>In case you missed the details, <place w:st=\"on\" \/><city w:st=\"on\" \/>London<\/city \/><\/place \/> was struck by a series of 6-9 separate bombs seemingly aimed at disrupting the city\u2019s transportation system. Buses and subways were primarily targeted.<\/p>\n<p>From the <\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2005\/07\/07\/international\/europe\/07cnd-explosion.html?hp\"><font color=\"#000000\">NYTIMES<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#000000\">:<\/p>\n<p>Sir Ian Blair, commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, told reporters at about 11:20 a.m. that &quot;events which may be explosions&quot; had taken place at or around the subway stations at Edgware Road, King&#8217;s Cross, Liverpool Street, Russell Square, Aldgate East and Moorgate. He refused to speculate on the cause, but said &quot;we are concerned that this is a coordinated attack.&quot;<\/font><\/span><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\"><\/font><\/p>\n<p><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">Sir Ian said that since the Sept. 11 attacks in the <country-region w:st=\"on\" \/>United States<\/country-region \/>, <place w:st=\"on\" \/><city w:st=\"on\" \/>London<\/city \/><\/place \/>&#8216;s emergency services had been preparing for such an incident and that &quot;the situation is being controlled.&quot; He warned people to &quot;stay where you are&quot; and not to attempt to travel around <place w:st=\"on\" \/><city w:st=\"on\" \/>London<\/city \/><\/place \/> &#8211; in addition to the subway closures, much of the bus system was also closed &#8211; and not to call the police or ambulance services unless there was a life-threatening emergency.<\/p>\n<p><\/font><a href=\"http:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2005\/WORLD\/europe\/07\/07\/london.timeline\/\"><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">CNN World has a minute by minute timeline on the bombings<\/font><\/a><font color=\"#000000\" size=\"2\">.<\/p>\n<p>Public transportation services in <place w:st=\"on\" \/><city w:st=\"on\" \/>London<\/city \/><\/place \/> have ceased for the moment and many people were forced to walk as the bombings took place at the tail end of the morning rush hour.
