She is not only one of the most pleasant people I have spoken to but she is beyond knowledgeable about VoIP, telecom and technology.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Fiorina will be a keynote speaker next month at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tmcnet.com\/voip\/conference\/\">Internet Telephony Conference &amp; Expo<\/a> and I can&#8217;t wait to hear what she has to say.<\/p>\n<p>Expect to hear how physical processes are becoming digital, mobile virtual and personal. Carly went on to say that the areas where we are having difficulty such as national preparedness\/security and healthcare are places where we haven&#8217;t done this.<\/p>\n<p>In her words, telecom\/datacom and service provider\/enterprise are not separate realms. Instead of having to organize and respond along vertical chains of command we need horizontal collaboration across boundaries and companies.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some other notable comments:<\/p>\n<p>Telecom is ultimate tool for unlocking human potential<\/p>\n<p>Technology is all about people.<\/p>\n<p>In order for VoIP to be applied to processes it requires collaboration among different groups.<\/p>\n<p>The question is how do we make money and grow the industry?<\/p>\n<p>Carly is quite in tune with the regulatory environment and will comment on what is needed to ensure we have a competitive broadband landscape. Expect to learn a great deal. I am blown away at how much I learned on this brief call. The session will end with a Q&amp;A session. Carly really wants this to be an interactive dialogue.
