It seems Vonage isn&rsquo;t as concerned as others in the industry about this ruling. As far as Packet8 is concerned, the company does have a slew of patents and they are likely able to use this massive patent portfolio as a defense against Verizon and others. As far as I can tell, they are in the best position out of all the independent VoIP providers.<\/div>\n<div style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt\">Of course this patent dispute seems to be a somewhat fluid process and many will speculate on likely outcomes until it is over.
