For example many in business do not use SMS abbreviations but kids do. When texting with businesspeople, SMS abbreviations seem to be acceptable at times but of course this depends on your situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"display: inline;\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.tmcnet.com\/blog\/rich-tehrani\/uploads\/fast-finger-side-view.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"205\" width=\"500\" style=\"\" class=\"mt-image-none\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.tmcnet.com\/blog\/rich-tehrani\/assets_c\/2009\/01\/fast-finger-side-view-thumb-500x205-5629.jpg\" alt=\"fast-finger-side-view.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I was reminded of this schizophrenic communications many of us deal with when I came across a new keyboard which can switch between QWERTY and SMS modes &#8211; where function keys become SMS abbreviations.
