There were many exciting sessions at ITEXPO<\/span><\/a> earlier this year in Miami but perhaps one of the most exciting for those of you looking for startups was StartupCamp<\/span> Communications Edition<\/a>– many referred to it as Silicon Valley in Miami<\/b>.<\/p>\n

After the successful debut of the event it will be happening in Los Angeles at the same time as ITEXPO<\/span> (specifically October 4th<\/span><\/sup> – ITEXPO<\/span> runs Oct 4-6, 2010) and you are an early stage company you must must must be there and you need to apply for a speaking slot immediately.<\/p>\n

Last year, participants got a free session on how they can improve their companies to make them more cohesive, easy to understand and more likely to be successful. In addition they got major promotion in front of the entire communications and technology industry including investors, partners and potential suitors. TMC<\/span> partner Larry Lisser<\/span> of Embrase<\/span> Business Consulting<\/a> did an outstanding job assembling an expert panel to make this session informative, educational and especially entertaining.<\/p>\n

If you are interested you should know participating companies should be less than three years old, and should be privately or angel-funded. Up to five startups will be selected to give high-level, five-minute ‘pitch’ presentations at the event.<\/p>\n
