Need to Pay Attention to Middle East and Africa Telecom Growth

"The Middle East and Africa regions represent some of the highest growth markets for telecommunications, media and technology in the world," said Sudip Nandy, chief executive officer at Aricent. "We are very pleased to add Delta Partners as a new investor in Aricent, and look forward to their expertise and support of our business."

That's a quote from EthiopianReview. The Middle East and Africa is experiencing phenomenal growth in telecommunications market and revenue, more so than other areas of the world with maybe Asia coming in next.

Throughout the year, I speak to thousands of IP communications companies who use our DIDX service for wholesale direct inward dialing. We have an in-house developed statistics reporting software that is consistently showing growth in numbers, companies, and sales in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Some of the most popular DID phone number areas are Vietnam and Kenya. In fact, Vietnam DID sell the second they are added through API.

Companies like Zain (with mobile roaming enabled in over 23 countries in the Middle East and Africa) become the new telecom giants. MVNOs are popping up all over this area of the world. I know because I talk to them when they complete their "interop and terms" before going active on DIDX.
