FCC Doles Out $132,000 In Fines To Wireless Carriers

Yesterday the U.S. Federal Communications Commission levied a total of $132,000 in fines against five wireless companies for not correcting complaints filed by consumers to the FCC.
The biggest fine went to AT&T, whose 24 unresolved complaints penciled out at $4,000 for each complaint, or a total of $96,000.

- Alltel Wireless- $16,000 (four complaints);
- Amp'd Mobile- $8,000 (two complaints);
- Link Systems- $4,000 (one complaint)
- SprintNextel- $4,000 (one complaint)
