FCC Approves 12MHz of Spectrum for AT&T

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has approved the purchase by AT&T of 12MHz of wireless spectrum that covers 60 percent of the U.S.
The FCC has just announced their approval of a purchase by AT&T of 12MHz of wireless spectrum.
The spectrum, which covers 60 percent of the continental U.S. and 196 million of its 303 million residents, also envelopes 72 of the top 100 U.S. metro markets by population.
The 700 MHz band slice was acquired by AT&T from Aloha Spectrum Holdings. Aloha had cobbled together the spectrum from previous auction winners.
The announcement was not part of the current 700 Mhz spectrum auction.
