RIAA drops suit against Mom,now goes after her kids

December 20, 2006

On Tuesday, the RIAA (Recording Institute Association of America) dropped their lawsuit against Patricia Santangelo.

The non-PC-proficient mother of five had been fighting the RIAA's charges of illegal music downloading to the tune of more than $24,000 in legal fees.

After first filing a suit against Patricia, the RIAA dropped this effort yesterday.

But they aren't done yet. The recording industry cabal has now shifted the focus to her children, suing them after one of her daughters admitted to using the Internet music download site Kazaa.

The RIAA's legal activity against Santangelo and her family has brought out rage and intensive funding efforts from groups and individuals opposed to the RIAA suing customers for illegal downloading.
