What crack are you smoking? First of all the games for the Playstation 3 aren't even out yet nor for the XBOX 360.

But if you want to base it on the Playstation 2 vs. XBOX, all I can say is HALO2 baby!

That and the XBOX has steadily caught up to Playstation 2 in number of games. XBOX 360 will surpass Playstation 3 in total number of games.

I think it just depends on wich one you like to do more, for example if you enjoy online play then the xbox 360 would be a much more suitable choice but if your like me and perfer to keep it simple just wait for the playstation 3 and even then i would hold off just a couple of months to see what my freinds said and try to get a test try on both consoles but right now it is looking like im definetly going to buy the playstation 3

What made the XBOX (Gen I) the envy of Playstation 2 owners was XBOX Live - the best integrated online playing experience. Playstation 2 has nowhere near the online experience that XBOX had, especially with titles such as Halo and Halo2.

What made Playstion 2 the envy of XBOX owners was that Playstation 2 had more exclusive titles.

However, this advantage won't be as pronounced in the next generation. Bill Gates has invested billions into XBOX 2 and has locked up several gaming titles - and even worse news for Playstation 2, they're eyeing exclusive contracts with entire game developer companies. Bill G has the capital to spend to ensure that the XBOX 2 won't have any issues with less game titles than the Playstation 3.

There won't be a title discrepancy this time around or the numbers will be very close.

What will be the differentiator won't be the graphics either - it will be the extra features such as online play, media center functionality (music, video, TV/PVR), etc. XBOX 2 has these in spades.

Nope, it's a prediction. To quote you again: "Neither the Playstation3 or the Xbox 360 are in the market yet" - so any talk about who's going to dominate this round is pure speculation. You're right, I don't know the future... It's called hyperbole. The press release was full of it - more so than my comments.

But I can make a best-guess based on Microsoft's past record in dominating markets they enter.

Maybe Microsoft won't attain a majority 51% market share, but they surely will close the gap with Sony which right now is the dominant gaming console leader. (Actually with more than 2 game console players, (i.e. Nintendo) a majority is more like 40%)

man all x box has and will ever have is the HALO series and thats it, nothing else. that game is the only thing keeping it up float in the race. playstation 3 is better than the xbox 360 no comp. by far the ps2 alone has beating the x box to this date. the 360 is nothing more then a calaboration of things that are available today the ps3 has tech. that will surpass the 360 in the long run thats why im waiting for the ps3

first off I like to say that there's not any console out there in comparison to the playstation.#1: playstation has way to many games and also what makes playstation the best is it's looks, It doesn't look like a toy, it something a grown man can put in his living room and not have to worry about how it looks unlike the xbox who's got all type of colors and looks like a toy. And also the controller for the xbox is weird, it's to big, it has way to many buttons and it's not made for any size hand, most people struggle with it because it's to bulky. overall you wouldn't find an xbox in my living room.

i read the ps3 and xbox specs the ps3 has 2 teraflops of performance but xbox has 1 teraflop.so the ps3 is faster and besides mgs4 was rendered real-time using a ps3 in TGS none of the xbox 360 games had the graphics of mgs4.many people who have tried xbox say there is no difference between the xbox 360 and a pc even with high defination output.

I had a playstation 2, so the thing that made since to me would be to upgrade to sony's new console. But the Xbox 360 sounded just as good and has released earlier. So I think most people will get tired of waiting and will buy the Xbox 360.

ps3 is gonna be better. Just like ps2 came out first it remaind on top and the xbox was catching up. But they knew they couldnt be better so they had to make a new system. Xbox 360 is now out and still over half of the gamers in the world and waiting to get a ps3 and i am one of them. Ps3's Killzone is the best looking game i have ever seen and its for ps3. Same with MGS4. and they are just two games for ps3. think of all the others they are gonna make, all xbox has to look for is halo 3. Halo 2 is pretty fun but it gets old for playing 2 or 3 hrs.
