The wireless laptop adapter plugs into any USB port on the computer. A USB device adapter plugs into the A/V base, which is connected to the TV via HDMI port in any TV or a VGA port in any projector and monitor. Audio can be delivered via the HDMI port or a 3.5mm stereo port. It avoids the Wi-Fi wireless spectrum by using 3.1GHz to 4.7GHz range to avoid interference and works up to 30 feet. It does require some line-of-sight, so don't expect this to work in an adjoining room with lead-lined walls. It also does some compression, so there might be slight video quality degradation.
It is a bit pricey at $146, but can you put a price on cleaning up the wire clutter?
