Yahoo offers Movable type

Yahoo is now offering the popular Movable Type blogging software. This follows this weekend's news of Yahoo's acquisition of Del.icio.us, a popular online bookmarking tool used by bloggers, as well as their recent acquisition of Flickr, which offers a way to annotate and share photos, another popular site amongst bloggers. Yahoo! said it will offer commercial blogs based on Movable Type as part of its existing small business Web-site management service. So now that many of the major blogging tools have been acquired, who's next? Can Technorati be far behind? There already has been some speculation that Google would acquire Technorati. With Yahoo snapping up lots of blogging software tools/sites lately, Google may pull the trigger on Technorati simply as a defensive strategy.

I have been using the Yahoo! hosted Movable Type for over 6 months. It's amazing how easy it is to run a Blog with Yahoo! hosting Movable Type. Once you have your Yahoo! web Hosting Account, with just a few clicks of the Mouse you have a Blog running. Currently Yahoo! is installing Movable Type 3.2, however Version 4.0 has been released. Does anyone know when Yahoo! is going to upgrade Movable Type 3.2 to 4.0?

Thanks

Ed - I've just started trying to setup my blog with Yahoo! Movable Type and I'm ready to take a bullet to the head. Is there a place that a newby to Movable Type can go for the basics? For example, I built my first simple page (a couple of categories, a couple of entries), then changed the theme and lost all formatting. I even tried removing all of the entries and rebuilding from scratch, and still get ... nothing. What am I doing wrong? Where do I turn for support? I RTFM'd till I was blue in the face, but there's not detail.

Thanks everyone for any help.
