How do I get any PSP GBA emulator to work.

I have firmware 1.0

i have my psp for about 5 months and i play like snes roms sega roms about everything but the gba emulator is the hardest to set on your psp in no because ive tried about a hundred times nou

For starters, you guys are about the biggest bunch of morons who can't spell or use proper english.

For 2.0 firmware..you have to downgrade to 1.5..for anything above 2.0....you're screwed. Please sit idle and wait.

The point isn't about the fact we're playing outdated games on a really powerful handheld..it's the fact we can play old classics on the handheld. It GREATLY bridges a gap. One of the main reasons i bought my PSP was because i could play the old school NES and SNES games on the system..yeah, i play PSP games..but being able to sit somewhere and just, pull out a very accurate Mike Tyson's Punch Out...well...there's this "wow" feature everyone loves.

my psp is version 2.0 and i used fanjita's eboot loader (or something like that) to load my emulators. so far i tried snes, genesis, and nes and they work fine with the exception of some snes games. i went to pspupdates.com to get all my tools and tutorials. so i guess i don't have to downgrade to 1.5 unless i wanted to load a psp iso. most my roms i got at rom-world.com

I have 2.5 and i know i have no chance of emulating any roms i always get the game could not start message. I dont mind wating for a crack that works for 2.0 and up but i wouldnt recoment downgrading, you never know what could happen, What i really wan to do is program the inner flash any help.

To assumme anyone did is a misunderstanding of linguistics. True, the British didn't technically "invent" English. Language is of course an evolving thing and like you say, most of today's major languages were created through invasions, as well as geographic separation (oceans, deserts, etc.), government bureaucracy instituting a state religion,e tc.

It wasn't an assumption on my part. Rather it was laziness to explain the evolution of languages. The point was simply that not all English-speaking people are Americans.

how to download SNES Emulator for PSP version 2.00

Yeah anyone have any news on an snes emulator for version 2.00? I got an error when i tried the 1.00 emulator "Corrupt Data" or some shit. Oh and seriously why are you bitching about roms on psp. I have spent so much money on SNES games in the past, i just want to be able to play them anywhere im at. There aren't very many good games for psp out yet dumbass.

Okay when I get this I have never used roms before. Do all roms work on all emulators or how does it work? Do you need the emulator and rom to come from the same place or if you have a emulator you can run any rom?

as a couple links at the very beginning of the topic, download the emulator pack. I just did it today and the snes is working fine, haven't had a chance to try the others. just unzip the emu pack into the 'games' section of your psp. drop the downloaded rom into the specific emu you're using and you're ready to go. you can also set everything up from scratch if you have 2.0 from the above link also.

hmm, reading my previous post I realized I was assuming you have the fanjita loader already in your psp, you were just looking for reliable emus. from scratch:

1. download the eboot loader from the list of links

2. extract all files from the loader zip into the root directory (the first screen when you open your psp drive on a comp). it will ask if you want to replace certain files that already exist, like the 'psp' folder. I click no so I didn't lose stuff I already had in the folder, it just copied the new parts that I didn't have yet.

3. download the 2.00 emulator pack and unzip it into your 'games' folder in the psp.

4. download a rom and drop in into it's respective emu folder.

5. access the eboot loader on your psp by going to your photos section

that should get you through the process fairly painlessly.

MarkStraub; the SNES emulator is very slow and not worth downgrading to 2.0. The NES emualtor is awesome and worth the downgrade.

And yes, you can play these emulators on firmware 2.0, you just need to download eloader software as well.

I'll just wait until somebody comes up with a way to make it better for the 2.60 so that I can play Snes Emulator smoothly and nicely. I don't want my PSP to get hurt.

Neat...I just discovered the best way to clean the PSP. Just use the Lens Cleaner spray (the ones you would clean your glasses) and use very soft cloth. Don't use the one that came with the PSP package. It'll completely make your PSP very shiny!

hey I know that you can download emulators for the 2.60 now with grand theft auto, but can you do it on any other games, you see I never have gotten around to buying gta and i have no money to get it, so if anyone knows if you can use emulators on any other game please tell me.

Everyone is yacking talking about irrelevant nonsense. Is there anyone (please) that can indicate in a clear, consise, detailed specific(file names) manner how the hell to get the free emulators and roms and more importantly how to use these files exactly. All explanations I've read so far is like do that, do this and they forget about the other things. That and this crap doesn't make sense. You download thinking you're getting somewhere and then nothing. A huge waste of time. If I could do it, I'd post it so everybody could see how simple it really could be. It's only difficult when you don't know how. After the first time it's much easier to figure out. So whoever is running this site, break it down for me and lets keep out of other things that have no place on this website. Like religion, politics, etymology and the like. Not that there is anything wrong with the above mentioned but really, I wanna rock on my psp and I have limited time to dilly-dally around. I use my emulators and roms on my pc and it takes a little figuring but it's pretty straight forward if you know your basics. But this PSP is a formidable challenge. i have ver 1.5 and i tryed to get 3 versions of snes to work on my psp. it saays corupted data. so then i copied some file twice to the the rooot directory and i could see the pic of the emus.i clicked them and they would restart the psp and say game cannot be played or something . does any body have a step by srep tutorial to make a snes woek on my 1.5 psp. i dont think i need a bootloader . thanks

1. if you want roms, go to romnation.net
2. if you can't run it on firmware 2.0 or above, get used to it. Why is it so difficult? Cuz sony hates you all.
3. There's better ways to get these answers....try google.

I love mario.smc remember the psp might be to fast for the psp on my athalon 2900 512K cache l2 I wish i had 1024M l3 cache! anwyay if you could get a set blaster=a220 i5 d1 emulation to trick the dos into letting the sound emulate the soudblater statements and load command.com win98se version msdn version ms dos then you could load up any dos mame or other emulation like mameload or gamemenu for atari emulation stella.
nesticle 043 has the best sound for dos only you need to some how make these winxp/win98 win sound blasters automaticly load into win irq same as dos irq 5 eliminate the com1 com2 com3 com4 parrallel and the ps2/ps1 keyabord plugs and use usb or firewire keyabords and mouse then we can speed up the whole c-mos and incorprate the c-mos into a cache module 1024M l3 cache with a c-mos inside it! this way the whole computer would run lighting fast like the psp cause the psp dosnt bog down w command.com or boot.ini I bet you could somehow format a psp if it had a removable c-mos chip then you could format it anyway you want IE custom psp for the PHAT gamer then sony could sell diamond encrusted snoop dog psp's to load w his name and face on the screen turning from the dog into his face then boot into the game. sony is losing cause if they made the psp customizeable lots of mame freaks would customize it to be phat then sony could lower its memory price for the first month of big memory sticks and make deals on memory sticks and blank cd or dvd's to get sony mp3 downloads of sony music or movies then you get deals from sony and they still get money.
all you do is put youre memmory sticks serial number in the sony server and it checks the memory stick then when it sees the stamp it lets you download music then once you download it you can do what you want with it it just checks to see its scrach off code witch is in code only known to the sony server like a napster or cellphone scratch off card the number is inside the memmory stick.

if you want to get out of nesticle you need to push alt q so you need a hot button or a usb keyboard . HMM the psp seems to be a toshiba laptop like device and it seems that the fanjita thing loads a dos emu this i like cause if the psp is a laptop w out keyboard then this makes it easyer to deal w or mabie its more like a lcd camera . anyway it seems this is eayser to figure out than i thought it seems like my usb mp3 player a coby one i turned it on w the lock on and erased the c-mos all i did was drag drop the flash file into the usb device it saw as a drive and it fixed the lcd screen so the psp probably works the same sicne they talk about it being a drive i assume if you hook it to the computer w a usb cable it sees it as a memmory stick like device drive this makes it easyer to make me want one.

I havent figured out what general instruments " the same company who made the jerrold cable box BLOB made the BLOBS for MIDWAY pacman plus I know this cause I know they made the original 9316 roms for space invaders because they had there @ symbol on them these assholes LIED ABOUT THE 2716 chips in space invaders so the eeprom burner wouldnt copy them I think you need some kind of wire wrap socket converter to copy these chips ANYWAY I GOT MY BRAZE tech multi space ivnaders kit and IM HAPPY now if i can find that lcd coin counter on e-bay.
the roms are online you have to back up xp back up all youre software to cd's or dvds and have a corp xp pro version witch will let you reload on top of it self or from scratch w out having to go online to activate because this sucks . roms are hard to find espesally the nintendo ones cause they are more watched I dont see a cuddle cart for nes so who cares if you get a virus I warned you I have a popup killer called kill add witch I might load onto

I Have a 2.6 and am running NES Roms flawlessly but i can't run Genesis. i can run snes but with major flaws in speed. if anyone is having trouble running NES just look up the NesterJ emulator and the rest is pretty self-explanitory but if anyone knows of full speed Gen or SNES or maybe even some MAME please let me know

Hey everyone. I have firmware 2.7 and I am wondering cause things seem to be slowing down a little (though it is a very little) is there a way for me to get an emulator for snes on MY psp. The thing is I can't find anything to downgrade from 2.7 to 2.0 and also everything before that is throwing me off as well. yeah...why does the 2.6 emulator have to work on the fifty dollar game? why not some $10 tennis game i can buy used at dimple for $5.99? apparently they are working on the emulators for 2.6 and above, but they aren't expected to be completed for some time. they have made emulators to work for up to 2.71 but they require mod chips and i've only found a few in existence...so patience to you...

you can run 1.5 things on an eloader, you can find eloaders on the url.
to my knowledge you have to put the thing in photoes so you can run it. that will run things that are 1.05, for all those people who are ripping they're hair out.

ive got a psp as well as most people here do to and it really doesnt matter what version you use if you go to www.dgemu.com.

The problem is you need an account (but its free) and you have to use your "dg" points if you want to download any of the games there...

they do not have emulator tool programs there, just the roms.

Im aboutot buy my first psps game (POWER STONE) but once i get it i know they will make me upgrade to play it and im very happy at my version 1.5 i got 700 nes, 30 super and 30 sega games and i will cry if i cant play them anymore (yea thats right ill cry , i get bored at work) So yea please some one please tell me if there is a way to play those games on 2.6 wihtout Grand theft auto hack or email me mvcking@yahoo.com

hey, can anyone help me out with these emulators?? the version of my psp is 2.81 (in case it helps). i have emulators in the memory (and it shows them on the menu under games) but when i try to use them, it says that it's corrupt. so, can anyone tell me what to do???

No you can't, the hack is only for firmware version 1.0. They haven't hacked newer versions yet. I also have a psp v3.11

You can download something called dosbox for xp to play nes 8bit complete w sound.
its not as pure as win98 but its the best sound i heard for nes 8bit in winxp also
Wallmart has $14.95 usb joysticks w rumble packs. two analog one joystick it feels like a nes or snes joystick and can work for both
I assume you could get it to work w a psp but dont those have built in joytsticks.
Atari 2600 stellax works great. I also found a new emulation hacker for 2600 games called hackomatic II this one works.
I will put it onto pacmame32.com I only am going to have pacmame32 for a year then ill see about getting more bandwidth.

please only download one file at a time. they only allow 14M per day . if you want pacmame32 download all files into a pmame folder then rename all files to .exe then they self extract extract them to that dir called pmame then make a roms dir and load roms from google there is like 30 differnt pacman type games avalible.
I will also provide hackomatic II stella x and more if i can get yahoo to allow me more file space right now yahoo servers think they are zipped picture files. anyway they dont allow .exe files so I renamed them to .zip.

Grr okay soo I have a psp 2.70 and I want to play Nba live 08 and i put it in and it said you need to upgrade to 3.15 or something and like I tried to upgrade and it says i have low battery but i got two bars..and like i put my sims 2 in and it works perfectly fine..Help me please..simple words too cus im not all that smart and game freak...soo yea

Is there anyway I can play downloaded iso's on my PSP, play SNES and Sega Genesis Emulator games, along with old dosbox games like monkey island, watch movies of all the respectable codecs, read ebooks in (pdf, html, txt, doc, rtf, chm) formats and read comics on my PSP? I mean is there any such firmware version which supports all these and is absolutely stable ? My firmware version is 1.5 so I hope I get a helpful reply.

Try torrents, since the main link has gone down. I think I saw a few up on mininova.

download dosbox to youre psp then use it to get to dos box then md roms copy all mame roms to rom dir
or other emulation roms to the roms dir then direct youre emulator to that dir for roms!
then type cd roms then when in that dir w dos box dosbox emulation witch lets you run a dosbox on the psp if it runs if not get someone to make a dosbox emulator emulator! good luck then type this
