FCC Chairman Kevin Martin to Address 911

Federal Communications Commission Chairman Kevin Martin has asked his staff to address the difficulty VoIP carriers have providing their customers with access to emergency 911 services.
Mr. Martin told a House subcommittee on Tuesday that he asked his staff to develop a plan to address the problem. Read more...

Man, integration into the PSAP, E911 Phase One and Two arguments have been going on for years, even without the added VOIP element!
Here's a question -- how would ENUM affect all this? Isn't the appeal of ENUM that it allows VOIP carriers to totally bypass the PSTN? Sorry if this is the topic of another post.
