Here's a bold claim - futurologist Dr. James Canton has predicted that within a decade telecom companies will be offering voice calls for free and making all their money from data services. Sure, stating that telephony will be free certainly get you quoted many times in the telecom press, but is he just stirring the juices or does he really believe it? I'm sure somewhere in some carrier's boardroom meeting there are some middle-aged men and women reading this quote, shaking their heads and saying, "It's over. We're done. Game over in 10 years..."
