SunRocket, the defunct VoIP service provider, is suing Vonage for playing dirty tricks by illegally obtaining SunRocket's customer list. Vonage wouldn't play dirty tricks, would they? Surely, Vonage wouldn't do stuff like I don't know - charge you a monthly fee after you canceled service with them and ported your number to another phone provider. No, not Vonage. Canceling Vonage is as easy as pie.

Vonage is the biggest bunch of crooks on the face of the earth. The service was horrible and when I cancelled they told me that I would not be charged the cancellation fee because of the service issues. Well guess what. About a year later I had a collections agent calling for the cancellation fee. Finally after talking to several idiots I realized that they did not care about their reputation or how people felt about them. They just wanted the money. I gave them the money and now I am sticking it to them every chance I get so that they lose 1000x the money I paid them by keeping potential customers away from them. They are the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I will be dancing in the streets when they go belly up.
If my post has made a difference please let me know. It will make my day!
we had sunrocket which went bellyup, so we singed for a month of vonage trial after they
promised they have a wireless connection. Vonage
sent a gizmo ( called vonage device)and I got the EXPERT TECh to guide me thru the simple 1-2-3 connection. All their techs are from other parts of the world, they are very hard to understand. Going thru this connection process
I had to use my cell phone upon their reguest, because every time you discconect the gizmo you loose phone connection. My cell phone bill was
$ 93.00. the tech tells me that someone is working on the line. we tried again and again, and finally after 3 weeks vonage told me we can not provide a wireless connection. In the mean times we had to go hell, we could not call out, we could not receive calls, we receive all kind of weird calls and we emailed vonage several times and cancelled our vonage, which email back
saying we can not accept email cancellation and some one will contact us. the phone # is ours from sunrocket. now they want a cancellation fee of $39.99. we cancelled and
switched to ATT 4 days before the free month is up. I asked them to refund my $93.00 because they lied to me about wireless connection and kept on line. first they said they will refund $93.00 and then changed their mind. All of their service is junk, and lies. I will contact FCC of their practice.
AT&T outsources their support too. Try VoicePulse. They are great and 100% American.
Vonage sucks.
all VoiceIP companies are crooked.
they adverstise 2 months free, oh yeah? what the hell? they lied.
they got it back when you canceled the service. by the way, vonage phone quality suck. you either don't have dial tone, cut off during conversation, or low quality of voice.
first of all, they start charging you the day you signed up. it will be 1 week or 2 week later when you got everything and setup to talk.
second: when you cancel within 365/366 days, they will charge you $39.95 cancellation fee if you didn't stay exact 1 year (anniversay). Ok, then after you exceed 1 minute after anniversary, they will charge you for next month $24.95.
You decide to loose $39.95 or $24.95.
Hey Vonage, taking all your services throwing in trash and F**K it.
How can I join a class action against Vonage? These people are crooks! I took their $11 money back special. The service would not work at all and when I cancelled they have continued to charge my credit card and have never even given the credit for the modem I reterned!!
I signed up for Vonage and never was able to get6 connected. Sent equipment back as I was told in the time frame I was given within 30 days. When I called to see where my deposit was I was told I had to pay $39.95 to get disconnected for a service I never received then for the next five months I was charged $50.00 sometimes $60.00. I never was serviced from them. When I called my bank I was told they would dispute the charge. I asked to speak to a supervisor or their legal department was not ever able to get passed the girl from Servicfes. She said someone would call me back. Never recived a call. I would love to be part of a law suit. We had to change our bank account in order that they not be allowed to take any more money from us. As all of you stated this is the worse company I have ever seen. I would love to contact and I have contacted every company that they are doing business with and that included the bank that they were going to get a loan from. Please do not do business with them. We are out over $250.00. I have tried to get them for fraud and I made out paper work for that with our bank and called the attorney General in charge of fraud for Fl. They tell me they have no other compalints for that company.
I don't understand the crying of all you guys Vonage is the greatest Phone service provider I ever Had, well I have only been with ATT. The minute I got my Equipment they walked me to through the installation process and I had my phone service running in no time. Yo guys just don't understand the technology. I am a 100+++% satisfied customer so please don't be posting crazy comments and let other folks enjoy huge savings. You folks out there trust vonage for a great phone service all these people are just frustrated cause they want the service to be free. Nothing is totally free in this world but with Vonage you can save tons of money.
Vonage's call quality was good but their service and billing practices were horrible. And when I left for a better deal, I found out my adapter (that I paid for) was locked to THEIR network and they wouldn't unlock it! Try Triniticomm(dot)com. These guys are doing it right! They are American, have excellent call quality, fast and knowledgeable customer service and great prices on all of their products.
I have had trouble with Vonage over charging, but let me explain something that will help you understand why standard methods of contacting them are useless. What you are reaching when you call in is a call center. They are usually hired by many companies because it is less expensive to hire these call centers to represent them. Sometimes your complaints or suggestions may get through to an executive or management with the company you have the issue with but believe me this is extremely rare. The individuals you talk to in most cases don't even have the tools to communicate with your calling about. Nor could they care what difficulties your having. A lot of them are in foreign countries that consider themselves lucky to be employed. And when you think your talking to a supervisor you are talking to someone usually of little authority if any. They are just seasoned and trained to pacify, turn away, or just plan say no. You can rant rave and scream to the only avail of venting. Some of these agents are thieves and liars themselves. Wouldn't you to feed your starving family or keep a job where they are rare. Back to Vonage. Vanage has over charged me on an average of ten dollars a month for the last couple of years, supposedly for 411 calls (telephone directory service.)all the people in and out of this household has no use for directory service and if they did would use the computer to retrieve such information. currently I am looking for anyone whom has started legal action or planning to start the same.
From what I am seeing Vonage either works for some people or it doesn't. I am not getting good reception but am basically told I am stuck with them for two years or I will have to pay a cancellation fee of 39.95 each line and a 79.00 fee for the equipment. How is that good service ? I didnt agree to the service if it wasn't going to work good. When I asked them about it they cannot solve the reception issue and keep telling me I will have to pay fees. Beware before you make the switch.
