A peek inside Vonage headquarters

Ever wonder what the inside of Vonage headquarters looks like? Ever wonder just where those bits and bytes of voice over IP packets travelled to? Aren't you just a bit curious what Vonage's NOC (Network Operations Center) looks like? Ever wonder after past horror stories of Vonage's poor customer service if Vonage's customer service consisted of 2 guys in a garage? Well, Vonage has come a long way since their early days and this video can put to rest that Vonage doesn't care about customer service. They have a very professional looking customer care center and a pretty cool looking NOC I might add. Click Play below for the Vonage HQ/NOC video.

They have a NOC? I thought they do not own any infrastructure. :-)

LOL!
Good one Aswath.

Dear Vonage: I have been without a phone since March 27 till today April 19. Vonage sent me a wrong router twice. I got the right one on Monday 17 but you guys and I can not figure out how to do work...I HAVE A MACINTOSH.
On Monday,I spent with my neighbor phone from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and after I talked with four persons and between of each one make me waited on line for 20 minutes each one in the end I lost the person or either he hand on me. This man tried to help several times:"Walker DaSilva" and finally he told me,
"Hi,

We have a lot of people w/. expertise in macintosh, but you have to ask for the advanced serv. dept. I do apologize
but I need speak w/. on call or you call to the adv. serv. dept."

Walker
HOW I CAN ASKED FOR THE advanced serv. dept.IF YOUR PEOPLE COULD NOT CONNECT ME WITH NO ONE, THEY WANTED TO HELP ME IN A WRONG WAY...WASTE HIS TIME AND MY TIME, WHEN I CALLED AND A BUNCH OF THEM TRIED TO HELP ME AND THEN GOT STACK AND CONNECTED ME WITH SOMEONE ELSE, AND THEN HE ASKED ALL THE QUESTIONS:NAME, ADDRESS, ACCO, ECT. I TOLD HIM THAT I DON'T HAVE A PHONE ALL THIS TIME,HE SAID OK. HE PULLED THE INFO AND I WAITED FOR 20 MINUTES AND THEN HE TRIED TO HELPED ME AND BECAUSE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE HE SAID HE WORK IN THE BILLING DEPARTMENT!
I COULD NOT BELIEVE HE MAKE ME TO WAIT ALL THIS TIME AND CONNECT ME WITH SOMEONE ELSE... AND THEN I LOST HIM OR EITHER HE HAND ON ME...
MY ACCO:1004040019
IP Address:172.16.1.37
Adaptor Model:M2-12S12-L
Input:100-12v--0.5A, 50-6-Hz
Output:12v
Vonage Router Model:WRTP54G
My Router (2wire)
I HOPE YOU DO SOMETHING TO HELP ME IF YOU CAN NOT I WILL APPRECIATE TO RETURN MY MONEY AND A FORM, SO I CAN RETURN YOUR ROUTER. THIS INFO HAVE PROBLABLY YOUR ENTIRE VONAGE COMPANY BECAUSE I SENT ABOUT 20 TIMES YESTERDAY BECAUSE THEY ASKED ME FOR THIS INFORMATION AND I DID ALL THE STEPS AGAIN,AND AGAIN AND AGAIN BUT MY PHONE DID NOT WORK.

Sincerely,

Maria Elena Venturi

Dude--Boy did we fool you. The real vonage coustomer has many problems every week. Dropped calls, callers can hear you and you can not hear them, static, poping, delays and echos. Voice mail access often does not work. Outgoing messaes come on 30 seconds after answering or not at all. Faxes to do work. We then really frustrate people by routing them to India and making them wait for 20 mintues just to say we cannot answer your question. It the caller presists, we just hang up.

We don't let people quit our service. We just keep billing them or holding thier number hostage. We got it made with the good publicity from jokers like you. All from our Operations Center. People do stupid things.... like signing up for Vonage.

Wow, Anonymous,

You have it right. I tried to get Vonage and what a headache. Just trying to get anything done is excuriating. I decided to cancel the same day, of the set up. This was due to poor Cust Service and I have called back several times. I can't get it done. When I called Corp. HQ I got looped back to India/Pakistan...no knowledgable human to help.

Good luck...I hope it goes better in the future. I would not recommend it...just wait until you try to correct an error.

I used Vonage since 2004 and they were simply great... In July 2007 I reviewed my bill and I switch to a diffrent carrier. In Octomber 2007 I realize that Vonage was still charging me monthly for the service even though they did not have the phone numbers for the past 3 months. I tried to reson with them but the conversation ended with a big ang ugly curse (from my customer service rep...) I am very dissapointed in their way of handling old customers and I WOULD NOT RECOMEND their service to anybody.

Vonage sucks!!! I cancelled my account last year but they still charge me $30 a month. I called three times and got bounced around to a bunch of different women from india reading scripts. I am now working with my bank to declare these transactions fraud. Don't use Vonage! And BTW, I plan to make a fortune shorting the stock. These guys are swirling around the toilet bowl.

Don't sign up with these con artists. They get your credit card number and bill you after you've cancelled. They don't offer mail billing just credit card so if you go for it your screwed. They don't honor their rebates. They put you on hold with "Brian or Chloe" in India and they never resolve any issue. They hang up if you persist on getting a resolution for your issue. They misrepresent the 30 day free trial. They charge you for a month in advance in other words they charge for 13 months a year. They don't mention a contract when you sign up. They actually say no contract yet when you go to cancel it's a 12 month or 2 year contract they now tell you you are in. Pure deception as it's not mentioned when signing up. Then when you go to cancel they lie to you and tell you they have cancelled your account. You'll find they will still keep billing you. The best thing you can do is go to your bank and claim fraudulant activity. Also inform the BBB and the FCC. Or your state attorney generals office. The more people we have on board the sooner the class action lawsuit can take place. And I can't wait for that one!

The trick is to only use a prepaid credit card like GreenDot. if you don't like the service, stop putting money on the card. They cannot charge any money to the card if there is no money on it. That is what I have done with all of my auto-pay services. Then, when they try to screw me they end up getting screwed. It works great!
