A couple of days ago I wrote about free Wi-Fi access in New York's Central Park -- it's coming; it's not here yet.

In my neck of the woods at the other end of the country, and probably a less daunting task, here is an article where Portland, OR is going to be offering city wide WiFi. Seems it's getting more and more available. This will be nice.

Like it when entire cities take on the challenge -- not surprised to hear that Portland is moving this forward.
