According to several news services, President Bush is close tonominating two candidates to fill Republican seats of the Federal Communications Commission: White House technology advisor Richard Russell and Tennessee regulator Deborah Tate.
Tate is an interesting selection given her background work in providing broadband access to rural areas of Tennessee.
Both Tate and Russell would require confirmation by the Senate.
