Virus Evolution
It appears that virus creators are no longer just losers who seek notoriety by having�nothing better to do than to make people's lives miserable; they're losers who seek percuniary gain from their descructive creations.� Reuters reported this morning that, according to Symantec Corp.'s semi-annual�"Internet Security Threat Report,"�about 75 percent of the top 50 viruses and worms were were designed to expose confidential information - such as assets and private information -�contained on their victims' computers.
Viruses are also becoming more prevalent, with close to 11,000 new strains, representing a 48 percent increase, over the�previous six months, Reuters reported.��
