Convergys Increases Momentum, Provides Learning Services

Convergys Corporation, a global provider of customer care, human resources and billing services, announced this morning�it is experiencing increased sales momentum for its learning solutions business. Most recently, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Kmart Holding Corporation and Red Hat, a provider of open source software, have selected Convergys for outsourced learning services.

Convergys is a human resources administration outsourcing service provider that offers a complete spectrum of business process outsourcing learning services. Convergys aims to help companies achieve breakthrough improvements by reinventing their approach to training and improving the cost, quality, and effectiveness of learning.

Hyatt selected Convergys to develop skills-based training for management and non-management employees. Specifically, Convergys will provide training in support of Hyatt’s Gold Passport program, which is designed to reward Hyatt’s loyal guests with every stay that they make.

Retailer Kmart chose Convergys to provide simulation-based training that allows district managers to see how their decisions would affect district financial performance over a specified period of time. Kmart tasks district managers with increasing profits for each store in their respective districts, and the simulation allows the district managers to see the outcomes of their decisions.

Learning client Red Hat, a Linux and open source provider, recently expanded its agreement for Convergys’ Customer For-Profit Training Solution. This solution is a complete suite of learning services designed primarily for organizations that provide training services to clients on the intricacies and "how to's" of products and services. Convergys is currently updating and redesigning several existing courses and developing a new course in support of Red Hat's latest release, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. The enhanced courses are designed to train system administrators pursuing Red Hat certification and end users of Linux 4.

Convergys provides learning outsourcing solutions ranging from comprehensive outsourcing of the entire learning function to outsourcing discrete e-learning initiatives. Convergys has over 450 learning clients in both the private and public sectors including AT&T, Avaya, Bearing Point, Circuit City, GlaxoSmithKline, Hilton Hotels, Mazda, Microsoft and Morgan Stanley.
