Toshiba made 3 VoIP-related news announcements today.
here are the highlights:
· Toshiba Strata CIX is designed for small- to medium-sized enterprises or larger corporate users with multiple sites and supports up to 672 ports. It offers new FeatureFlex adaptability capabilities that let users customize their features. In addition, it can be TDM-enabled and provides a smooth migration path from Toshiba Strata CTX and Strata DK digital business communication systems. It will be available later this year.

· Toshiba Strata Wireless IP Telephone, Model WIPT2000, is an enterprise-class 802.11 wireless IP telephone. Compatible with Toshiba’s new Strata CIX native IP business communications system and Toshiba’s Strata CTX IP-enabled business communications systems, Toshiba’s Strata Wireless IP Telephone leverages Wi-Fi coverage over the enterprise WLAN, giving users full mobility at the company campus. It will be available this fall.

· Toshiba SoftIPT SoftPhone (a TMC Labs Innovation Award winner) wirelessly extends the features and functionality of Toshiba desktop telephones to suitably equipped PDAs running PocketPC 2003 and laptops, tablet PCs, and PCs running Windows 2000 or XP. The SoftIPT SoftPhone allows users to access their telephone features from virtually any location by connecting to the enterprise’s Toshiba Strata CIX native IP business communications system or Strata CTX digital business communications system through 802.11 wireless networks. It will be available this fall.
