WiFi saves the cell phone

Perhaps the most useful development to come from the communications industry will be very simple. Network providers are finding ways to connect the next generation of cell phones with WiFi networks so you are never out of reach.

Studies have shown that an alarming number of people don’t have cell phone coverage in their homes. Adding WiFi to the mix means customers can at least have another way of connecting with the outside world – even when they can't be reached by traditional wireless carriers.
