FCC Does Some Deck-Shuffling

January 3, 2007

While we don't ordinarily list appoitments made by U.S. Federal agencies, these two are important.

Important, I might add, not for any perceived policy shift but only for a preview of two FCC rising stars whose names are sure to be found in reports on committee hearings and rulings from their areas.

Fred Campbell, moves from the FCC's legal advisor for wireless issues, will become the new wireless bureau chief.

Acting wireless bureau chief Catherine Seidel moves to different responsibiliies at the agency. She's going to head up consumer and governmental affairs.
