Just came across a TMCNet article from September 11th that claims, "One of the greatest gifts of technological invention is VoIP telephony service."VoIP one of the greatest gifts of technological invention? Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. Right up there with the light bulb, automobile, electricity, TV, the Internet, and nuclear power? Much as I love VoIP, me thinks not.
Relatedly, OneStopClick claims that research by the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) has found that in the last four years the number of firms allowing employees to work from home and link back into the office has risen from one in ten to nearly one in two (46 per cent). The article adds that those who homeworked did so by leveraging VoIP and a software PBX, which is increasing demand for both VoIP and hosted PBX solutions.
