Hurray a New Home Recycling Center!

Money does not grow on trees, wish it did but, sad to say it doesn't. Regardless, for some reason companies cannot grasp the concept that people in this day and age, mainly because of economic reasons, cannot afford gadgets that although may assist in our everyday tasks, the bottom line is we usually don't actually need it because we can still do the task manually.

Perhaps this needs a bit of clarification. In my daily online search of gadget wonders, I came across a green gadget that aids users in the recycling process.

Though technology usually means it will make lives easier and comfortable, the cost is the catch. I present to you the Mode All-in-One Home Recycling Center, where convenience meets functionality.

According to the Brookstone Website, "Mode All-in-One Recycling Center has a 2-bin sorting system plus a built-in compaction chamber--so it can hold up to 3X more recyclables than typical units! The recycle station sorts and stores ALL recyclables--plastic, metal, glass and paper [while the] patent-pending compaction system uses no electricity and empties straight into the rear 8-gal. bin."

The All-in-One Recycling Center comes equip with a convenient Recycle Day Reminder, so users will never again forget recycling day.

Although this is a wonderful product with nothing but good intentions, the machine costs $249.95. Who has that kind of money to spend nowadays? PC Magazine Mariella Moon agrees, that there are, "a lot of people [who] have better things to spend 250 bucks on because, after all, they can segregate trash by hand and it would just as effective."

On the other hand, the Wall-E styled trash compactor is handy as it keeps all of the recycling tidy and is organized, in addition to storing three times as much recycling the question then becomes, taking into account personal finances, could you splurge on an Earth saving gadget wonder?

PC Magazine's Moon said, "if you got $249.95 to burn, then why not? Otherwise, I don't think it would make much a difference at all." I concur.
