Increasing recognition of the importance of weblogs in public life and the marketplace is resulting in a number of services designed to help companies and media-watchers in monitoring the pulse of blogspace. (See my previous entry, Mining the Blogosphere.)
This announcement came out today:
The company Cymfony describes itself as "a leader in automated media measurement, market research and business intelligence." This new blog-focused service is designed to help marketers "analyze consumer discussions, trends and sentiment expressed in blogs, message boards, customer feedback sites, consumer emails, usenet groups and other consumer content to gain immediate market intelligence."
